We're delighted to announce that Mums Best, the mumsnet guide to the best stuff for parents - a quarterly compilation of mumsnet's product reviews - will shortly be available free of charge in Mothercare. Mums Best is a handbag-sized book/magazine that offers new and veteran parents alike your collected wisdom on everything you need to buy for your child from nappies to holidays, via pushchairs and trikes and a whole lot more. If you'd like a copy you can order one here for post and packing costs only.

Of course there would be no Mums Best without you, so to every member who's lamented the brakes on their travel system or raved about kids' clubs in Kos and found the time to send us a review, thank you. We hope you like it!

Please tell us that the title has an appostrophe in the printed copy!

Doesn't look like it, when you click on the link!

From a fellow apostrophe pedant!

I've tried to think of ways it would be acceptable - and can't. There is no excuse for it - it's just wrong.

No it doesn't have an apostrophe and it's deliberate. We tested it with and without and it looks better without - it's a logo.

It's still wrong though!

Even if I can't spell apostrophe I like to see one. Personally, I do not care for that sort of logo - it feels illiterate. Sorry, but my opinion.

So is mumsnet wrong, technically. We did debate it - went through mum's best and mums' best but neither really worked as a logo. Admit it does feel odd when typing it as the written word but I'm sure there are plenty of examples of logos that are grammatically incorrect that we don't really notice anymore. Hope so anyway!

Just us dinosaur pedants!

Perfectly fair to raise it - sure you won't be the only ones. Hope you like what's inside anyway .

My snobbery shan't stop me from checking it out .

I suppose it's the fact that it is two words that makes it stand out. Mumsnet has e=been run together as one (made-up) word.

If you'd called it Mumsbest, we might not have commented!

we still might

mumsnet is one word though

mumsbest could be one word, but isn't

pedantry rules mum's best or mums' best

hurrah the apostrophe pedant

as an aside and totally none of my business I would have thought it would have given you by far the most benefit if you'd aped the actual mumsnet logo with mumsbest .. colourways and font .. then it would be a logo at the moment it's more a typography style .. .marketing pedants rule too

Yes - these are good points - it's a quarterly thing and this is the first crack so no doubt it will evolve. All further comments/ suggestions most welcome. As you know - most of our good ideas come from/ and/or are refined by you guys anyway . Thanks.

Spot-on! Call it Mumsbest with the style of Mumsnet logo, and I will concede that it is a new word or even that it is in fact a logo .
