My DD didn't get the main part in the school play!

My DD went for Sandy in the school's play of Greese. I made her rehearse for an hour each night, but it went to another girl!!

The other girl has black hair which is wrong while my DD has blonde hair

My DD now has a rubbish chorus part, and it desperately upset! What should I do?

Oh for goodness sake. Maybe the other girl was better. You need to tell your dd that you are proud of her, whatever part she gets: and stop being silly.

You made her rehearse?

Your attitude will ensure that your dd stays upset and fails to enjoy the production, so you need to be really careful. Tell her there will be other parts - and let her enjoy this one.

Sue the school for the psychologist fees you'll need to pay out for the trauma, report it to the LEA, the governers,Crimewatch and pull your daughter out of school. Or get a life.

You can't expect her to get the part on just one hour of rehearsing a night.
That other girl may have been living as Sandy since christmas. Wearing Sandy clothes, lingering around the playparks singing 'Hopelessly devoted', her parents may have taken her to Australia.
