Hello mas! Haven't quite finished the old one yet though. DS#1 is currently on his way back from Porlock where he has been camping I suspect I will get home to heaps of wet clothes and a damp sleeping bag

He is soaked, subburnt (throught factor 30 apparently ) and was swept out to sea to be rescued by a teacher at Woolacombe apparently. So a damned good time all in all

For ds1's 12th birthday today we took him and a group of mates from his form to pizza hut and the cinema. Dh suggested they could go alone - but I wanted to meet them, as a couple of them I've never met before. They were all polite and charming.

But this year they've been taught all lessons in their form group. In yr8 apparently they mix them up or set them for most subjects, so he won't necessarily see so much of them.

No, she didn't Orm! But she said there were lots of school groups there.
Roisin - polite, charming boys! Can you send some down this way please. DD would like to meet them. She says there aren't any like that at her school.
Hope your DS had a nice birthday. DD is 12 on Wednesday - we are taking seven of her friends camping overnight at the weekend (if the weather allows).

DS's phone rang on Wednesday night - he looked at it and then turned it off going bright red.... DH said who was it and why didn't you answer it? DS said it was a girl from his history class and he would speak to her later and with that he disappeared up to his bedroom !!

Well, what a fab round off to the end of the week - we received a letter yesterday from the school about DS saying what a fantastic boy he is and it went on and on about his efforts with regards to redesigning the school website - it ends with "DS's work on this and his positive attitude is a credit to him, his family and his college. The maturity and enthusiasm he is showing is fantastic and belies the fact that he is just ending his first year with us".

We are really proud of him

DD's school have redesigned the logo on polo shirts and sweat shirt so thats buggered my plan of buying a couple of new ones and a sweat shirt and giving the old ones to a friend who's DD is starting in September. I was also sent DD's end of year levels apparently in English she's gone up a whole level in a term! The cynic in me thinks that just maybe her teacher got round to marking all the homework he'd set in the past year. This was the teacher who suggested that the bookworm DD spent more time reading....

magenta - tis always the way, you try and do a friend a good turn and then someone has to go and mess it up!
