I know X=2 , but how do you show your working?

x + 3 = 5
x = 2

fab - can't believe that you all responded so quickly, thankyou. usually once i can see the working for one i am ok with the rest,

2x + 6 =10
10-6 =2x
2x=4
x=2

10 divided by 2 = (x plus 3)

Therefore 5 = (x plus 3)

Therefore 5 minus 3 = x

Therefore x = 2

2x=10-6
2x=4
x=2

Alternatively:
2(x+3)=10
x+3=10/2
x+3=5
x=5-3
x=2
