We are moving and I went online to get a bus passes for my dc and saw that the bus company says that "children 13 & under cannot travel alone but must be accompanied by a full fare paying adult" - how are they supposed to get to school then I cannot take them and anyway they need their independence (do not qualify for LA transport).
I know loads of children who travel to school on service buses by the same company, including dd when she has gone to a friend's house after school - is this just something that is ignored generally?
Is there a particular age when children can start using the bus alone / with older siblings (and any age for the older sibling)?
Any advice welcomed
