Haven't lived in Ruislip for a while but I remember that Bishop Ramsey and Haydon were the most popular. Also worth investigating Queensmead. If your catholic then boys to the Oratory or Cardinal Vaughan and girls to The Sacred Heart Hammersmith. Depending on where you are in Ruislip you may consider Sacred heart for girls wealdstone and across the road Salvatorian College for boys. Again catholic but not as strict and take a percentage of non Catholics

Thank you for your reply. We are not catholic so will look at Haydon and ruislip high is looking favourable.

Wish we knew more about the area!

I think Haydon & Ruislip High are among the best in the area. But Ruislip High is very small and so you have to live pretty close to get in. Very strong on discipline. Kids seems very well behaved. Haydon huge and popular and specialises in modern langs (they do they usual plus loads of others like Chinese, japanese, Italian - can't remember the others) but the Head seems to run a 'tight' ship. He's been there forever. Ruislip High's specialty is Maths & ICT. Queensmead is supposed to now be much improved and gets good results. Vyners is also pretty good but you have to really live in Ickenham I believe to have a chance of getting in there. Do NOT choose Northwood! Bishop Ramsey also gets good results but is C of E school.

I think Northwood is also known as Potter Street avoid at all costs. My sister did supply there worst experience of teaching she's ever had. My nieces and newphews are at Haydon and love it. Ruislip High was not built when I was there but I think they film the Inbetweeners there (useless fact)

Queensmead or Ruislip High are fine.
