Lewisham Secondary Schools - Opinions please

We are currently doing the rounds of secondary schools with our 10 year old. Amongst others, have looked at Conisborough, Sedgehill and PLFC, none of which had previously great reputations, but which we were all pleasantly surrprised by. Realise they are all putting on "best behaviour" for open days, so would really value opinions of parents with children already in these schools.

Sedgehill had a bit of a dive but has improved a lot over the last year or two in terms of behaviour etc. I saw "Oliver" there last year, and it was amazing.

Great pastoral care there.

I don't know about the others, sorry.

Hi Tallulah - was watching your thread to see how it developed.

Just wanted to add you should take a look at Trinity in Lee. There's a bit of a buzz about it at the mo. A lot of local parents are outting it down.

And St Matthews - most improved school in Lewisham. Again, used to have a bad rep, but it's on my list. It's Catholic, but at the moment you should still get in if you're not RC. The value added is in top 5% in country, and they see to be able to get brightest those A*. Good luck!

Thomas Tallis is on the up - it might look a bit scruffy, but the results are improving year on year.
