can anybody tell me where to find secondary school admission numbers.
I'm looking for last years and mainly focusing on the waiting lists

Ask the LA. As you are preparing for an appeal they have to give you the answer. But please be aware that you are probably asking the wrong question. The published admission number (i.e. the number of children they can admit) almost certainly hasn't changed for years. However, the number of children actually admitted will go up and down from year to year.
