London Oratory Academic Intake Tests

Does anyone know what the London Oratory Academic Intake tests are?

My DS has been fortunate enough to have a place at the London Oratory for the forthcoming Y7 intake in September 2011. We have today received a large envelope of information regarding appointments/school sports introduction day/summer school etc etc. It refers to the First Form Academic Intake Tests but does not give any further information.

I was wondering whether anyone had any experience of these tests: have your DS's gone through them? What are they tested on, in what format?

Big thanks to anyone who has any info.

Together with school report and SATs results it is a. Review of which class is best for your DS.
Aim is to allocate the boys to the right class and the most appropriate curriculum. If your DS is lucky enough to have a place it is not something to worry about.
Ring school to ask if worried

Thanks deadbeat - not sure if I am being spectacularly thick but as I am reading it they might well look at the report and SAT results coming from his current school but they are holding their own streaming tests.

I am not worried about his performance on these test I was just wanting to know whether anyone had any information as to what constituted these tests - for example are they multiple choice, verbal/non verbal, composition, which subjects do they test - maths, english or more.

Thank you for coming back to my question though.

Dont think they look at Sats. I know from boys who have gone from our primary school that boys with level 5s end up in all classes. Would call school to see if they give any info.
