I have 2 son's and my 12 year old has struggled through main stream school. Now only in year 7 his anxiety levels are so high he has physical symptoms. We are getting help for the anxiety.
He has not been in school for 2 weeks.
Any advice, what about home schooling?
We are in Suffolk.
Any suggestions?

I always think home ed is worth a try if a child is in such a state over going to school. The worst that might happen is that you and your son might have a bit of a break and a chance to think about the whole school situation without any pressure on, then the two of you might eventually find that home ed isn't right for him and he might return to school... and that scenario wouldn't be a disaster. The best that might happen is that you both might really enjoy home ed and his stress could be over forever. Do you have anything to lose by giving it a go?

You'll find plenty of people over on the home ed board if you want to talk it through in detail.

Thank you, I told him yesterday he does not have to go back to school. BUT not told his Dad so that could be a challenge but as the main carer I'm putting my son first :)
