North Dorset secondary schools ...help please ?

Well this is where we will be returning to in October , the school we want is oversubscribed at this point ...

That school is Gillingham .

If the appeal fails ,we will be offered Shaftesbury :)

Looking at the schools website I am quite impressed ...

Although Gillingham has an outstanding Ofsted report ,Shaftesbury does not appear too shabby lol !

Any experiences you would like to share please ?

My son will be entering year 8 from the American school system -if that helps ?

Sorry have no experience of the schools, although until last year my parents lived in Marnhull so I know the area. You are lucky to be moving to such a beautiful part of the country . I know a lot of the children from the village go to Gillingham if not to Sturminster Newton which is not so popular.

HOw far are you from Sherborne? The Gryphon school is good so I believe.

badgerhead yes,my Dad has lived in Dorset for 40+ years ...I always wanted to give it a go !
