well if we want to get the stamina to cope with one of the side effects of his Venlaflaxine........

We "did the deed" last night for the first time since it all happened and it would appear that the possible side effect of "delayed orgasm" has affected him, it took 3x as long as it would normally do on average.

We were both bloody knackered afterwards

i thought it was ok.....managed to blag my way through the last question I hope!!

I know!! I thought he was just getting up to go to the toilet! He can't have written 3 essays in that time surely?!

But then if I remember rightly, he has at least 2 jobs and lots of other stuff going on, so maybe he didn't manage to revise properly.

At least he bothered to turn up in the first place though!! Lots of people didn't.

How did you get on?

I think I did okish with the last question - thankfully had read some of that on the bus on the way over .

He was sat close enough to me that when he was holding his answer book "upright" and he was turning the pages I could make out that he'd written 3 pages of writing, and it appeared to be 3 answers.

I didn't manage to revise at all - I still blagged my way through more than 3 pages of writing .

Think I stuffed up the 2nd question (did question 3) - it was a really vague question and I wished afterwards I'd done the 4th question even though I had revised the chapter I could remember enough about the Case Study mentioined to have done it.......ahh well.

Didn't put many references to K101 in - think I mention Somebody (Someone?) cares, Ann and Angus, Thornhill, Labonte, as Maslow......

same here re: references!! Agree question 3 was very vague, I kind of waffled on that one tbh!

I'm sure we'll do fine few months off now before we start it all again! lol

Which course are you doing next? sorry for hijack btw!

I waffled and realised I hadn't really said much, so once I'd finished the last question just added a few notes on the end about extra stuff that I could think of "wall in the head" from "Estates" (couldn't remember who wrote it though), and other stuff. First question wasn't too bad though - had thankfully written the "right" notes for that and managed to split it into 3 sections as per the question, the barriers (fear, embarassment, used Maslow's hierachy to say that if they didn't need a lot of intimate care then they may not see their other needs as being worth of home care),mentioned culture, relgion etc as well dissatisfaction said about poorly trained staff, lack of continuity of care, lack of choice over their carer, lack of proper care plan etc, then for ways to improve mentioned all the people involved in setting up home care. Hopefully got an okish mark on that question to push me to an overal 40%

I'm doing K204 - Working with Families and Children.

sounds like you did a good job anwering the question to me.....after all, one of the main things they want to see is that you use relevant info from the course materials.

oooh, I'm doing k204 aswell!! Maybe we'll be in the same tutor group again. Will be nice to have a familiar face on a new course!

Looking forward to a break over xmas tho, I must say!

ooo really - that's cool - hope we're in the same tutor group (and that we have a better tutor than our last one.........I've done the online tutor questionnaire thing and I'm afraid I wasn't very flattering in it..........)

ALFA? Tell me to naff off if you wish, can I ask how long DH on Venlafaxine? is it a recent thing and is it helping him?

They put me on it years ago and I had 'issues'.

6feet - he's been on it for about 4/5 weeks now (not sure exactly when they started him on it in hospital).

Definitely seems to be helping him (in more ways than one ).

ALFA, good, and his mood is OK? It didn't work for me, but then again none of them did.

I had problems on it after 2 weeks, if he's been on it for as long as 4-6 without any problems, then all is well. Great, I'm glad.

Good luck and enjoy it all, it's certainly cheaper than therapy, and I bet a whole lot more effective eh... even if you do end up walking like John Wayne!!

LOL!
