Has been done in CHAT but thought it was more relevant here.

Who would love to do a Shirley Valentine?

Who talks to the wall because no-one else is listening?

Who used to go dancing?

Who used to be someone else?

After all, boat is boat and fuck is fuck!

I think many, many women would love to do a shirley valentine. However, the reality would be that 'costas' would eventually end up being exactly the same as Joe back in the UK. He'd still expect his dinner, still moan like buggery and find an evening watching topgear reruns highly entertaining!

Sorry, it was meant to be light-hearted. Maybe it didn't come across as that.

Some people need to lighten up

Ah the F plan.

A Greek Island, sun, freedom from cooking dinner yet again.

Enjoyed that film. With you Stirling, sometimes doing a Shirley Valentine seems like a great idea.

Ha ha I watched this last night - did you too Stirling? It is one of my favourite films but I had not seen it in years and was stunned when Shirley said she was 42 - 2 years younger than I am! Perhaps because I am older than the character I found it a bit sadder than I used to.

Anyway, this morning, I told dh I had watched the film and said to him "I wouldn't mind running off to Greece" and dh said "What would I do without you?" so I don't think Shirley and I really have much more than age in common!
