Another week away, why do so many DH have to work away? Only back for 26 hours from the previous trip this time before jetting off again.

DC get upset, and he's missing so many things this week (Christmas plays etc). I think this is the last trip for some time, but even so.......guess I'm a bit low tonight. Oh well, busy day tomorrow, then back to school.

It's miserable, isn't it. DH took a "3 month" contract in Amsterdam in March which is still dragging on. He has promised faithfully to be based in London from January. I have this in writing. [cynical emoticon]

I'm used to it, but last week when he was away, ds2 was poorly and I had to leave work. I've got sooo much to sort out for Christmas and school and it's hard doing it with kids in tow! Still now they are abit older (6 and 5) its a little easier. Hard for him too I guess. He's always trashed when he gets home. It's the time differences that make it so confusing (for all of us!). 5.5 hours ahead this week.

Sympathies. Mine is in the UK (I am not) this weekend and was away the last two previous weekends. I am getting fed up at going to dinners/parties/just out and people asking me where dh is, sometimes I think we don't get invited to places because he is never here. I can cope with the childcare, especially because i have help, but it does all get quite tedious after a while. Also everytime he is away, I think 'what if something happens to him this time?' Is that a bit morbid?
