It's been fantastic, hasn't it? I really admired the attitude of the parents last night, the dad was so moving when he was taking them to visit their birth dad.

maybe you could look at fostering?

it is a good series - haven't watched them all but caught a bit of the Nicky Campbell one.

Watched the Nicky Campbell one when I was home and it was fascinating. But don't get BBC here so haven't seen any more.

Would love DH to watch it as he is adopted and also we are thinking about adopting ourselves.

strangely as an adopted person i have little to no interest in the subject, suppose as it's just normal to me though.
although the one cool thing that did happen was that for the first 6 months where there is a chance of the birth parent having the courts favour her if she seeks custody my dad set up an off shore account and a safe house in spain.i thought that was pretty bond villan esque.

thats very 'cloak and dagger' theman.

Must be a tough time-those first 6 mths, worrying that it could all be called off.

I saw the one with the Hindu family. It was very moving. The little boy seemed to settle in with them more or less straight away.

I have often thought about adopting a child of an age inbetween my two (3 & 9)
