where do I start, 5 years living with man v good relationship, supportative, mates and lovers, he announced he does not want to be in a relationship, and he wants a deeper love and it isnt me.
To explain more we were friends first then dated and then moved in together. 1st 2 years his ex wife went ballistic with horrid scrap over assets and access totheir kids 6 and 11. She badmouthed her ex husband and I was a bitch, and other nasty accusations she could she could make up, plus ordered them not to do anything I asked. the daily nasty texts to himafter divirce (she had left him to be another younger man, they had a baby this year). I supported him throughout all. This year we were free of hassle and now the drama withex has lessend. Then he seemed to distance himself, i felt our intimacy ebbing away and he reassured me daily nothing was wrong he just needed a little space. then the bombshell. Does anyone think he enjoyed the aggro, or addicted to the drama? cant helpthinking her having baby with bfriend heraled the end of their abusive relation and he hasnt fully seperated from her. and i think i may have been a mug, gutted

It's just impossible for any of us to say to be honest. Maybe it was drama, but maybe he needed to feel safe and comfortable with you and when the shit cleared he realised he wanted something deeper.

We all have transition partners, it doesn't mean they are mugs.

thank u, great to get anothers view, is there anyone who has gone through something similar. He used the words I am committed a lot, and we bought a house together last year, the irony of the two meanings !
