Probably too late, but I have just put the joint in the slow cooker with a thinnish "gravy" sauce so that all the juices thicken this while it is cooking. Just enough to cover the joint so that it sdoesn't dry out. Incredibly easy. Mine has always cooked brilliantly and is delicious, especially as it is so little work.

Hope you enjoy!!
reduced in Waitrose today, an absolute bargain so I thought i'd cook it in the slow cooker tomorrow ready for dinner tomorrow night then use the left overs in a stir fry wednesday. But, I've never cooked a joint of beef in the slow cooker before!! What do i need to do?

TIA

Links The simplest way to insert a link is to enter the link itself, surrounded by [[ and ]]. So if you type [[www.mumsnet.com]], the link will display as http://www.mumsnet.com. If you want your link to display text other than the web address itself, leave a space after the address then add the text before the ]]. So "Look at [[www.mumsnet.com this page]]", would display "Look at this page".
