I need a few questions answered about The Archers!!!

Who was Greg?
Who is Annette? Why are people suspicious of her? Whats the problem with her mother?

Helen - I didnt realise she had OCD - what clues have I missed?

Someone else might give you better backstory (or try the BBC site), but:

Greg was the old head gamekeeper (before Will). Helen was his partner (not married, but lived together). Annette was one of his daughters from previous relationship (there was another one, can't remember her name). Greg committed suicide. Helen got (or re-awakened?) anorexia in reponse.

I didn't know Helen was meant to have OCD, but it figures, given the scriptwriters lose no opportunity to spell out the fact that she's a little unstable. She had anorexia, and OCD is often part of the behaviour of eating disorders. Helen is 30, BTW, but treated by her family as if she were a particularly wayward and fragile 14...

Radio 4 is on 93.4 where I am, but I think you get the best reception on different frequencies in different places.

Archers is on at 7pm repeated 2pm following day
Omnibus 10 -11.15am on sundays
Although atm I catch up mostly online with bbciplayer

yurt the point is they are mainly all horrible and annoying.

helen is esp dull character, occasionally wheeled out to make some sort of sociological point. annette is badly written.

I disagree entirely - thats why I heart The Archers, its the only soap I watch/listen too!

The only two characters I really cannot bear are cathy and usha - the rest are annoying to other characters or mildly uninteresting to hear about but I still like them ifswim - even Helen!

Does anyone else think the annoying voice of Annette is the annoying voice of the same actress who played Pip's annoying friend Izzy (who thought she was pregnant a few months ago which got Dave and Ruth in a tizz)?
