Thank you lovely Pseudo.Thanks

Don't know what to say about that episode. Unconfined joy about Ruth's baby? Oh dear....

Elizabeth is muttering about history repeating itself by having 4 little Archers. That's it, it's going to be a triple Baby Blessing, just to upstage Jill.

I enjoyed that. They seem to pack much more into 13 minutes these days, every line seems to contribute in some way, instead of being filler.

I thought Peggy might keel over actually. Knob would be happy!

Great new title.

I also thought they fitted a massive amount into today's episode. I thought Elizabeth's reaction was delightful, but I have to say I found it hard to believe that not a single person is allowed to express what must surely be the real life response to this situation: Oh my flipping god! what are we going to do now? How will we manage?

As for that complete cow (no pun intended) Peggy sailing over to remonstrate with poor Tony as if he's a naughty little boy who got a bad mark in his maths. Why can't she save her ire for the dreaded Hellin?

Weeeeeeelllllll - Ruth and David are financially secure, they can house and feed and ultimately possibly employ another child. They seem happy with the news and dote on their current 'charming' (except for Pip) kids so I think it's highly realistic that everybody is chuffed. It's EASY to be chuffed when you're not the one needing to give birth to and be responsible for the offspring.
I was sweating a bit tonight with all the joy. If she miscarries I will be bloody annoyed now.

Hello, may I join? I am a very long-term Archers listener but these days seem too often to miss episodes. I have been using your previous threads as a catch-up service.

I'm hoping that Peggy will have second thoughts about her finances and decide that Tony needs help now rather than Tom in the future and pull the plug on his executive home (that must be how it's described surely?) - and then be rightfully cross when he whinges about the deposit for counting his chickens before they were hatched (he is being somewhat presumptuous, I don't think she'd finalised the amount)
