Did anyone hear this?
Loving the solicitor with 5 children who has never wanted to spend more than two hours a day with her kids.
I thought it was so tactful when she talked about historically women in our species having looked to "slaves" to look after their children and servants to do the domestic drudgery.
Hmm

I listened to it, at first I was thrilled as I'm on maternity leave for the second time. I do feel that during my 2 pregnancies and maternity leave (9 months for each) I have had to park my career, and that's totally ok with me. However, I don't think the woman who spoke represented a wide enough cross section of society, for many woman it is purely financial reasons they have to go back to work, they don't always have a lot of choice (or slaves) ??

I had totally admiration for the mum the breastfed despite returning to work after two weeks (not sure if I could have left my babies after two weeks though!)

I thought it was refreshing that the NCT woman talked about men's role in taking time off. I don't think equality will be reached until a man is just as likely to take 6 months off when he has kids as a woman.
