Yes, the news is sadly a long round of political arguments, accusations against the police (often justified), spy story revelations and lots of wars / disasters and consequent refugee camps, hardship, and problems.

Saw somewhere recently that the UK has over 350,000 millionaires and while many will have won (say) 1m via the Premium Bonds, there are lots of wealthy city types (a newspaper article a year ago showed someone soon to retire, age 41, with a nest egg of 450m) who could spare a million (or 10) to help reduce the divide, partly here in the UK but also in many other countries...

And what annoys me even more is where some countries get 'development aid' yet seem to have massive military otr other plans (space flights, etc) while millions of their own people are in dire poverty.
