We have a new Roberts Internet radio in the kitchen(( excited !!!!!!))
What podcasts are suitable for children or to be listened to as whole family.
Well, apart from radio 4 on driving to work, I am not a regular radio listener, I would appreciate if anyone point towards any live programme - documentaries, comedy accessible and appropriate for 12 year old to listen to.
Did not realise there are millions of podcasts...

I hadn't realised there were podcasts for kids but having a quick search after reading your post i came across this.

My 11 year old DD loves Cabin Pressure on Radio 4 (6.30pm on Weds evening) and is a big Archers fan too. In fact both she and DS have been listeneing since they were born Grin

ahh! my dc's love a Radio 4 comedy! Blush Wink Shock...
dd1-11yrs, ds1-9yrs and dd2-6yrs!

we love the radio 4 comedy slot at 6:30pm... they are always very very funny!
Favourites are just a minute - all three love this and try to do their own version!
the unbelievable truth - very very funny and full of silliness
the news quiz - again very funny - and topical!
I'm sorry I haven't a clue - fave of ds although I find it quite irritating!
Count Arthur Strong - none of us like this although dd1 finds it utterly hilarious!
The Now Show - always brilliant!!

needless to say there is always something a little bit 'naughty' at times! but me and dh usually just start talking very loudly over it!... and really the dc's love a bit of rudeness now and again!

Ahh! the squeals of delight during the unbelievable truth where there was story about a Royal Navy mascot parrot who's favourite catchphrase was 'show us your tits' (they had to hide it away when the queen came to visit!)

and the absolute favourite
The Now Show's sketch which explains believe it or not?! I have no idea why they love it so much! Confused
cue ds asking 'what's an enema?'

have fun!

Bea - was your DS listening to The Archers at the time Nigel fell off the roof?

My 11 nearly 12yo enjoys Rhod Gilberts best bits, from his Sat am show on Radio Wales. You don't have to be Welsh to enjoy it, and because it's a morning show it's fine.
