I cant believe how selfish and thoughtless Kenton has become, attempting to push Fallon/Reece out of The Bull, just because his bored with Jax and wants to have a cushy life funded by Jolene ! angry

I'm quite enjoying the Rhys and fallon thing, it will be nice to see her with a good bloke at last

And Matt! Someone shake that man! YOU ARE GOING TO LOSE LILLIAN BECAUSE SHE IS WORTH 10 OF YOU!
Sorry, I am getting a little too excited. I really want Lillian to be with Paul, Matt has gone tooooo far.

Yeah queen When was Fallon even in a proper relationship? But with Jazzer being house trained it'll be a bitter contest for her affections between Rhys and him IMO! Now Harry's out of the way

ppeatfruit Mon 22-Oct-12 09:25:01

Don't forget that Lil is also a good time woman and maybe Paul is a bit 'straight' for her grin

Just refresh my memory on the Paul backstory?
He is Tiger's birth brother?? that Pusscat looked up when T was in the clink?
And she fancied him?
Then what....

GrendelsMum Mon 22-Oct-12 12:36:34

You've summed it up in a nutshell, Olivia.

She fancied him, but wasn't going to abandon Tiger for him due to mistaken loyalty, despite the fact that Paul is clearly much nicer.

Kenton has always been a twat.
One of those hideous MC men who refuse to grow up and think being a feckless arse = free spirit. Bleugh.

Have we worked out if Jolene is someone else yet? She sounds different.

MrsDeVere Mon 22-Oct-12 12:46:33

I wish whatsherface would stop that horrible whining everytime she speaks to Jamie.
One shrill, passive agressive mother aka Jennifer is quite enough thank you.

I hate most of the women in the Archers. I have been listening for years confused

Panzee Mon 22-Oct-12 18:12:57

I was most disappointed that Fallon felt the need to seek approval from Rhys and Jazzer for her move to Jaxx. She needs to move to Lindin and join a band ASAP.

OliviaMumsnet (MNHQ) Mon 22-Oct-12 18:31:04

Wel yes. She also perhaps needs to be less enthusiastic to hey nonny nonny with Lynda.

heronsfly Mon 22-Oct-12 18:38:27

Actually. despite my moaning, I'm quiet enjoying the storylines at the moment,I loved the moment when Paul rushed to Lillians side in her hour of need.
All we need now is to shove Emma, Kathy and Kenton into the slurry tank, unite Fallon and Jazzer, and Paul and Puss, and everyones happy grin

WhatSheSaid Mon 22-Oct-12 19:59:19

I reckon Fallon and Jazzer together would be quite good now he's had a personality transplant become interested in the Classics due to Jim's influence, he's being portrayed as a bit more of a sensitive soul.

Is it me or have the S.W's invented a whole load of people other than Kenton and whatisname the old guy father of Alaistair? to be owners of Jax? and interview Fallon. Also Naomi??

PseudoBadger Tue 23-Oct-12 17:00:56

There have always been silents. I'm more worried about the people who are suddenly given a speaking part such as Joyce and Arthur <yawn>

PrincessFiorimonde Wed 24-Oct-12 22:36:37

(Psst ppeatfruit: Alastair's dad is Jim.)

I think Naomi's been mentioned before, but I don't remember Don being name-checked before this job thing. Maybe just my memory.

I've never found Kenton very interesting. But think we're supposed to think he's that free spirit of whom MrsDeVere speaks so fondly. E.g. he gets on well with kids (apart from, ermm, abandoning his own) because he has a childish childlike nature. Something like that.

GrendelsMum Wed 24-Oct-12 22:43:10

No, I think we must have heard of Don at the very least, because we heard all about how Kenton got together the backers for Jacks, and he had to get Jim and another, more commercially minded guy.

I couldn't remember Naomi, htough.

Bluestocking Wed 24-Oct-12 22:48:36

Joyce and Arthur and the slow-motion disaster with the bathroom floorboards was ex ... cru ... cia .... ting. We all knew what was going to happen but it took so bloody long.
I quite like Rhys - I think he and Fallon are a good match.

Catmint Wed 24-Oct-12 22:50:08

Wasn't rhys a silent & nameless person & then there was a competition to name him? And he suddenly aquired a personality.

Freda is the best silent character.

YY about Will's inconsistent guineapig buying habits, I have fumed over this!

OliviaMumsnet (MNHQ) Wed 24-Oct-12 23:33:38

A competition to name him?!
Where?
I would like to enter a name an Archers character competition
(surely this is where Kenton/Shula came from?!)
I have never heard either of these names in RL ever.

PrincessFiorimonde Thu 25-Oct-12 18:02:58

Ah, not surprised that Don's been mentioned on the Archers previously and I just missed it ... (soup brain).

Agree re: Freda. And do you think Derek Fletcher would be runner-up in any "Archers' silent character competition"?

Also agree re: Kenton and Shula. Especially as they were named by that avant-garde couple, Jill and Phil confused.

heronsfly Thu 25-Oct-12 21:40:48

I seem to remember my mother informing me that Kenton and Shula were names made up from scrabble letters, she was totally mad though so might not be true.grin

PseudoBadger Thu 25-Oct-12 21:49:19

Remember the momentous moment when that hussy silent Sabrina Thwaite miaowed during the Christmas play?

Catmint Thu 25-Oct-12 21:55:45

Rhys name comp - I may be imagining it, was it on R4 somewhere? Broadcasting house perhaps?

I've never heard of a Kenton/Shula either!

ppeatfruit Fri 26-Oct-12 08:32:39

Yes I could never work out why they were called those weird names esp. as you say princess Jill and Phil were NEVER way out AFAICR grin.

ppeatfruit Fri 26-Oct-12 08:33:48

Apart from Jill being anti hunting which IS far out in Amb. grin
