Has anyone had trouble with folding the their pram ?
We cannot get the white button on the back of the seat unit to lift upwards in order to fold it and I wondered if there was a magic touch or if ours is broken ?
Also we bought it about 6 weeks ago and I'm worried because i tried to return a top to Mothercare and they wouldn't have it back because it was more than 28 days, do they have to refund if it's faulty, because frankly after the afternoon I've had messing around with this pram I don't really want it any more

Do you mean you can't move the seat unit in line with the handle to fold it? You just need to lightly squeeze the button, not fully and this should let you tilt the seat. It won't tilt the way you need if you fully press the button.

Right that's great advice thanks, makes sense.
I now have one side that will start to lift but when I've assembled the pram in the first place I've not put the seat unit on properly and so the bit that turns like a wheel on one side is stuck.
I guess that's going to be a nightmare it won't come on or off

I had awful problems with folding it rear facing, as chutes said, you need to lift the white button all the way to alter the angle of the recline, but to take it past the upright and fold the seat forward when you fold the pushchair, you just need to very lightly lift the white button. Mothercare will not refund you on a bugaboo, even if it is faulty, as bugaboo dont do refunds, they just replace.
It drove me mad trying to fold it rear facing, and I have come to the conclusion that its not worth the hassle and I just use it forward instead. It is amazing in all other ways though, so I have forgiven it this one problem.
Fiddle about with the white button and keep jiggling the seat if its stuck, I managed to get it stuck once and it took about 5 mins but it came off eventually.

Bugaboo can take a run and jump if it's faulty they have to refund it's not up for debate it's the law .
But I do think it's my assembly which makes things a bit awkward

I found to fold rear facing is easy! The manual shows that you pull the white handle all the way up - then drop it half way back down to pull your seat level with the handle. This is a safety feature - so that you don't accidentally pull it all the way over and squash your infant when you are just raising the seat back to upright!

If you can get the seat off altogether - you can unfold and refold the seat (off the chassis) and this should realign your "wheel" at the side.

It's not faulty - it's user error here I think! Once you are used to your bee you'll be fine.

Whatever you're doing - just don't force anything, you may be cross but brute force isn't necessary and may lead to you damaging the product (in which case you won't be entitled to a refund). Follow the instructions to the letter and you'll be fine.

Under law Mothercare if they have sold you the goods MUST refund you if it is faulty - but only if faulty.

If you have to take it back - quote Trading STandards and the Sale of Goods Act at them!

Sounds like you might be fine though.

there is a nack to it but once you've mastered it its fine. It is a very good pushchair but for the money it isn't all that wonderful and there are little niggly things like this I would have expected to be better. It does do what I want though. Does anyone else think it isn't actually flat when folded? It says 'flat-fold' in the specs

I think that is just a term for type of fold. Like umbrella fold, isn't actually the shape of an umbrella either.
I don't expect a "flat fold" pushchair to be perfectly flat, that's just funny!
I use my bee rear facing only and fold it to put away every day no problem. I have learn't the nack obviously!
I love how accessible the basket is in this mode too. Seat is upright for our toddler. I can fit 2 medium school rucksacks plus more in there!

Yes the basket is good for a small pushchair. We also have the petit star zia and that basket is pointless. I only use it lying down parent facing for the baby. It is much much better than the M&P switch it is replacing.

It was definitely jammed after all we took it fully upright into mothercare and they couldn't do anything with it either so I got a refund. And as the display model was exactly the same when they compared the 2 I'm not sure I fancy another one.
Which now leaves me back at square one.

I don't think they lie fully flat either, still slightly angled. I think they are over priced but lots of people do like them.

Have you looked at mini jogger or M and P Sola (which I currently love and am sounding like a saleswoman for!)

Well, i found in our Mothercare the sales assistants were clueless about how the bee plus worked. They tried telling me the seat didn't extend and that it didn't reverse either! So, it's possible the buggy was fine maybe. They should train their assistants better so they can help the customers better before and after sales. Sorry to hear your bee plus didn't work for you. :-(

The seat wouldn't move up or down Multimummy it was definitely faulty and the one they used to demonstrate in store was exactly the same totally jammed, so I'm reluctant to try another but nothing else ticks the boxes

I wonder if the one in store and also yours had been damaged by being forced. Did they set yours up in store for you when you bought it?

Either way, it's really bad luck. Mine is working perfectly - so if you could get a working one - that would be ideal (and of course you should have received a working one!). They are not all bad - maybe you just were really unlucky and got a faulty one.

Like I said our Mothercare Sales assistants (two very young girls in store on a Sunday am) were totally clueless about the model - and barely able to demonstrate anything other than pushing it!!! They were trying to prise the seat back from the extended seat bit - rather than just pulling upwards on the extending handle - and really being quite rough in their frustration - I had to ask them to move over and let me show them (I had thoroughly researched and watched videos online prior to coming to the store to see the product)!

Did you buy yours from MC ? I'm thinking of waiting for the next 10% off day and then asking John Lewis to match it and assemble it for me.
Do you think they'll hold their value even with the recession ?
There really isn't anything else like it is there

No i haven't found another pushchair that's light, parent facing, takes 20kg, has a big seat (when extended) and is as comfortable for Ds as a larger luxury pram would be.
I bought mine online from mothercare, they had 10% off and another 10% code that made a total 20% off. So i paid £371 (end of may). Apparently there was a similar offer back in April too.
John Lewis are outstanding in their customer service.
I hope you get a good deal if you buy again.
I'm really happy with mine, it works perfectly.

In answer to this question, I had the same issue but it's not a faulty item! You have to ensure that the handle bar is locked in properly so you should see the two green lines on the handle bar. You cannot move the backrest adjustment lock unless the handle bar is in correctly! Once it's in correctly, it moves up and down easily and then you can move the seat up and down!
