Does anyone have the Mothercare Spin?

Hello,
I had a look at the Spin in Mothercare at the weekend - the sales rep was lovely and spent about half an hour showing me all its bits and pieces, but I wasn't going to be lured into buying it without seeing if it passed the MN test!!
Does anyone have any experience, good or bad, with the Spin?
I would be using it occasionally on some rough terrain - the beach, the woods - but mostly just for wandering about town.
Thanks!

this is my post and what I thought of it:

Hi,

Am thinking of buying the Mothercare Spin pushchair which I think is quite new. It does seem to be very similar to the icandy cherry but a little cheaper I think (£530 all in incl car seat as well.

I like it because it has one handle bar, 4 solid wheels, seems quite easy to put up and down and lighter than other pushchairs I have tried. Also the lie flat bed converts into a sit up so there is less stuff to store too.

Wondered if anyone had an experience of it and any feedback they would like to share as it is still a very expensive purchase and want to get it right.

Thanks

Hi Hippopo - I've only just seen your response! Are you going to go for it? I really like the Spin but some of the things I have read about Mothercare's services on here have put me right off.

Dithering now....

Hello, just seen your post as I am also very taken with this pushchair.

I just need to know whether it would cope well enough with bumpier terrain from time to time before I make a decision.

Did either of you buy it in the end?

Hello HouseFull,

I decided against it in the end, purely on the basis of the awful online reviews I read about the car seat that fits it. I will be using the carseat a fair bit, and want to get a really good one so I've gone for the Mothercare My4 instead, which has the Maxi Cosi Cabrio Fix carseat instead.

Bit of a bummer as I really loved the Spin.

HTH!
