Filthy filthy bag after the yogurt exploded and the drink leaked- and that's not all.. wotsits escaped their bag too leaving an orange tinge all over

The instructions say to wipe with damp cloth but it's too dirty for that.. what else can i do to get it gleaming again. It's quite grubby on the outside too. The bags have a cardboardish insert type thing so I probably can't risk it in the machine see here, but gosh, it's such an ugly site at the mo! what would really get the grime off without water damaging the insert? the baby bag and the shopping basket/bag have the same insert thingie..

..i really wanna give it a good soak!..

please help. cover is a beige colour so very light. note to self: stick with black 'next' time..

also- the steering when up/down slide thing is a bit stiff.. can i use wd40 in there or is there another product to use to smooth the 'adjusting' handle height?

i dont wash my shopping bag in the machine as always worried it will break lol.

I just hand wash it in the sink with a soft nail brush and some washing powder, rinse them off then if i have the weather stick them on the washing line to dry or i hang them some where in the house to dry if the weather is a bit rough. hth

not sure about the handle height thing sorry

that helps a lot, thanks sal309 i'll do the same. do you actually stick the hard part under the tap at any point, or do you just use minimal water to rinse?

I have washed quinny buzz bag thingy in the machine I just stick it in a pillow case so I dont trash the piping and use a 30 degree delicates cycle.

Have put the footplate bag thru the machine in a net bag in the past on a quick wash and been ok (2007 model).

Try oil to 'grease' the handle height.

Thats good to hear dimwit. I've been wondering whether to bung mine in the machine! How old is your buggy? When i first got mine there was a minor prob w a wheel, i rang stokke they collected it, fixed it and returned it. Give them a call if its under warranty.

jollyma, it was a very nerve wracking time when that spin cycle was going! it didn't clean out wonderfully as hoped from the inside of the basket/shopping bag.. maybe i'll spray some 'vanish' inside next time before washing..though im not in a hurry to wash again!..my heart was pounding when the machine beeped to indicate the wash was done! havent been so nervous for ages! lol..

And yes- it's an older one 4yrs+, i called stokke and they said the wheel could be upgraded free of charge etc- but then, only a few days ago, the seat started to 'slide' down on its own accord (slowly) with dd in it! have googled it and found that this was also a 'flaw' in the older chassis..did you have this prob? never had this before when using it with ds, this was the first and only incident..(so far)..thing is, i bought mine second hand so unsure if the wheel has already been replaced? it was 1.5yrs old when i bought it, so pretty new-ish. only just realised now abt the recall.. any idea how i can tell if the wheels have been upgraded or not?

No idea, sorry. Mine is only a year old and the problem was there from the start, as you pushed it on a smooth surface (like in a shop) one of the front wheels didn't quite meet the floor so it was like pushing a dodgy shopping trolley! They just replaced the wheel and returned it to me by courier. Its been fine since.
The guy i spoke to at stokke was very keen to discuss details of what he had done and show off his buggy fixing prowess so its probably worth giving them a ring to discuss.

I wonder if stokke might have a record of your chassis number if they were re-calling for upgrades about the wheel?
