carrycot for Bebe Confort Urban life chassis?!

I bought a Bebe Confort Urban life buggy from a MNer quite a while ago. I'm sure at the time, she said that she had a carrycot that did fit it but I didn't take that. Now, I'd quite like to get one so that I have a single buggy for DD when DS3 is walking and I don't need the double. Can anyone help me with the name of the carrycot or where I could find one? I've searched and not come up with anything.

thanks.

I have done a bit of googling and it is the Calypso Carrycot that you need, if that helps.

Will try and find out if this is the same fixings as the Windoo one.

Thank you! Your googling skills must be better than mine - I did try. At least I know that it does exist and I wasn't imagining it. Thanks.

With the bebeconfort chassis, as far as I know, they come in two different widths (with respect to fixing carrycots, etc). If you want to buy a bebeconfort carrycot which is not adapted to your chassis, then you can get adaptors (called moduloclips) which will make it fit. The moduloclips come in two sorts: the bottom half (which clips into the chassis) is the same on both, the only difference is the top half which either goes straight or has a bend in it to make it narrower.

You should be able to get the moduloclips separately (try looking on ebay as they can be expensive). Also if you want a second hand carrycot try also looking on the french ebay site as there are usually masses of offers there for bebeconfort products.

Basically, if you have got the right moduloclips, any bebeconfort carrycot should fit onto your chassis.

hope that helps.

A prelude carrycot will also fit. I did squeeze a windoo on that chassis but it was a tight fit with the fittings.

I loved the urban life, if you ever think of selling it let me know

Activ Life is an umbrella fold one, similar ish to the Urban. Model before Loola really.
Good luck with finding a carry-cot.

I would be interested in the Activ life if no one else is. Can you CAT me?

I was only half serious - it is pretty old (think about how old ds1 is, and when I got it...so must be nearly 7y) and has been through 2 ds's.

I don't have CAT.

Not sure it would be worth the postage - I'm near Cambridge, if you are in the area it might be worthwhile.

TBH I loved it, but it is very much a town/shops pushchair. Our village paths are crap and with ds1 I got a Babystyle Cylone (forerunner of the Britax Vigour 3) which was FANTASTIC, but took up nearly all the bootspace in my estate, so the Activ lived in the car and the Cyclone in the garage for use in the village.

ChasingSquirrels if you would be happy to post / courier I would love it. We are taking the kids on one of the sun holidays to devon this year and the normal buggy for DS takes up the whole boot!

I am not fussed on age as long as its umbrella fold and rear facing.

I might still have your email from the Wii points so will drop you a line after the school run.
