Pop goes the Duo

Hi need some advice sorry this is a bit long.

Found out was PG when DD1 was 8 months old so knew I would require a double buggy. Went to Mothercare for advice and after lots of trying out they recommended a Silver Cross Pop Duo which I subsequentlty bought.

The other day was trying to fold the blooming thing and found a label that said not suitable for under 6 months !!

Have had DD2 in since she was born!!!! She is now almost 6 months old so too late to do anything about it now, but is there any harm in putting newborns in prams for 6months? She hasn't really been in it for long, as only use it when I'm on my own, if with DH or DM I we put DDs in separate prams IFYSWIM.

Anyways as it's getting colder would like to know if I can get footmuffs for the Pop Duo, it didn't come with any. When I look online they seem to have them for the Pop. I'm probably being thick but would single Pop footmuffs be suitable for my Pop Duo if that makes sense??

I'm not that impressed with the Duo and wouldn't choose it again, but DD1 is now keen on walking so perhaps won't need to put them both in the double.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

The seat recline angle is the reason for the birth/6 month rule but as many people use a car seat it is a load of bull to be honest as your dd2 would have been more reclined, flat than in a travel system. I notuce that Silver \cross market the PopDuo as a Pop just twice and the Pop is suitable from birth!!!

Most footmuffs should fit, some might be a bit bulkier than others as your seat space will be narrower than a single seat unit.
