Hi,

Need some help conveincing husband that we should keep new quinny buzz 4!! Had been using the mamas and papas Luna but hated not having my baby facing me.

So ordered the buzz and with much excitment it arrived today.... put it together and tried baby in it and he seemed very comfy.

When husband came home and looked at it he told me that he thought seat just looks a bigger padded out carseat and why did it not go completely flat and will it hurt baby back?! (his words).... so has now put some doubt in my mind.

So any views on the buzz would be much appreciated. Thank you x

If you want it to lie flat you have to buy the dremi carrycot. I had one (3 wheeler but sorry I hated it) and would not use the bucket style seat until dd was about 5/6 months but had already sold it and bought something I much prefered by then! How old is bubs?? I know lots of people do like them, I thouht I would but I really didn't!!

How old is your baby? I have a bee in my bonnet about babies under 6 months being anything other than completely flat in a pram. If he is older it looks very comfy! I have no personal experience of Quinnys so am not a huge amount of use to you really, I just wanted to give you a response. I'm sure someone more knowledgable will be along in a minute! x

I've got a used quinny buzz that came with a dreami carrycot. You could probably pick up the carrycot on ebay for quite reasonable (I've actually got a spare one I got from freecycle if you want it and can pick up from near Manchester!)

I don't use the regular seat yet as DS is only 8 weeks old--I believe it's not meant to be used until 6 months. He goes in the carrycot, or if a very short trip, the maxi cosi car seat also fits on to the buzz frame.

How old is he?

Had the 3 wheeler and also hated it, sorry. Heavy, unwieldy things. Nightmare to get round shops....

If your baby is still tiny, you could get the Luna carrycot?

Thanks, baby is 4 months and is pretty chunky now (was nearly 9lbs when born)so did not have much room in his carrycot and was looking not very uncomfty in it so changed into lying flat in Luna but have spent the last few weeks feeling miserable not being able to see him!!

carrielou did you change too? am desperate to him facing me and very cross at myself for not buying facing pram in the first place.

Shivster am also big on them lying flat, so now feeling completely confused as don't think he would fit in the dremi carrycot.... maybe I should sent the buzz back

Yep, I wanted dd to face me as I had bught a 3 wheeler so borrowed my sisters huge m and p pram for first 3 months before settling on buzz but it was not for me. I sold the buzz and the 3 wheeler and bought a bugaboo cameleon and as we walked everywhere suited us down to the ground. So much so that have bought one for soon-to-be-here dc and a small RF for the car.

Dd was also big 9lb 6 and very long!!!

I like my Quinny Buzz. My LO is 7.5 months and has been out of the carrycot and in the 'seat' since she was 4 months. I still have her facing me.
It can be a bit of a pain in small shops but for general mooching about outdoors is great.

At 4mo he won't fit in the Dreami - we changed DS to the main seat at about 4.5mo. it;s quite small IMO.

Don't underestimate yout Luna, they're actually really good pushchairs. Having my time over again,I would set fire to my Quinny and buy a Luna (not kidding)

Get one of these )cheaper on ebay) they're bigger than the Dreami.

If you're in and out of shops all the time the Buzz is (I'm sorry) SHIT. It's wider than a double buggy, it's heavy, you can't attach a decent buggy-board to it (wrt future sprogs) and DS, at 23 MO will not fit in the seat anymore (and he's not that big)

i love my buzz!
the only fault is that the back wheels are quite wide apart (certainly not as wide as my mac twin though)
we live in a small town and all the shops are tiny!
its lovely for walking though, use the luna in the shops though,as it will prob be easier,

Try showing your husband this one and suggest it might be more stylish/practical/better built - and that it would surely be an investment as it is a work of art also....

He'll soon shurrup and settle for the one you bought!

Or - if you really do want something else - try maxi cosi mura 4 with carrycot also available in other colours and the 3 wheel version too.. some real bargains at that website at the moment! These are made by the same company that make the buzz (Dorel)
