What age was your DC when they outgrew their Phil&Teds cocoon?

My DS2 is 13 weeks old and he is getting a bit snug in the cocoon now. Just wondering when I should move him to the toddler mode? He just seems too wee for that yet and I don't think he will be able to fully recline?

When did you move yours?

DS2 grew out of the cocoon at four weeks, we just put him in the flat bottom bit without the cocoon until about 4.5mo when we put him in the toddler seat.

hiya, i asked this question a month ago and it seems to have been asked once a week since then

i put my son in at 17weeks. other people have talked about their dc having trouble upright, but he seems fine. tbh, he is a lot happier than he was. he was really getting too big for the cocoon

having read a few threads about this, most people have moved them around 4months.

this transition period is the one big weakness of the p&t. people recommend using headhuggers, sleeping bags and lambskins to help their dc in the toddler seat. i also read someone saying they removed the cocoon but replaced it with a lambskin and that really helped in the baby position. hope that helps.

I had my DD2 in til she was about 14 weeks, and then we had the sleeping bag. She was fine laying in the sleeping bag, whilst the buggy was fully in laid flat mode (or even where you leave the zips done up, so a slight slope)

You can always swaddle and then put in sleeping bag, so he will still feel snuggly
