Tandem or side by side?

Looking for advice please. My DD will be 2y 7m when baby #2 arrives and I'm trying to decide whether to get a tandem double buggy or to get one where the children are side by side. What are the pros and cons of each please? TIA

The tandem can normally be changed back into a single buggy easily. A side by side with children of such different ages can cause a weight difference and make the buggy pull to one side.

However, both of mine hated the p&t I purchased. City mini jogger has been great. If ds1 was shorter would have preferred nipper as it fits through nearly all doors.

Best one I ever had was the mountain buggy side twin. Fitted in doorways, comfy for both girls needs. Could sit ds on the footrest when he tired. I hated the graco tandem because it was so heavy to move (I'm quite short)

Tandem all the way for me! When I put my DD in the bottom seat she really loves it as she's that bit closer to the ground so can identify animals etc at eye level. Also I can convert it back to a single with a couple of clicks. Just upgraded from an icandy peach2 to a peach3, it's beautiful!

Me too, I have no tolerance for the pushing a half empty side by side buggy around. When one dc walks some of the time it's tandem all the way for me.

Go and try some. You usually know fairly quickly which you prefer :)
