Pushchairs

searching for twin pushchair that folds down small - Obaby Apollo ?

I have a one month old and a 2.3 year old. Currently looking for a suitable double twin pushchair. I need one that reclines on both sides and suitable from birth but also for the toddler. I have a small car so a pushchair like the obaby Apollo would be the right size folded. This is 30x 95 x 53 cm.

I have seen these for just under 100 online which seems a good price for new. Does anyone have one of these and how do you rate it ? Does anyone know of any similar ones? Even if they are more expensive, I am willing to look for a second hand one. The main factor is the folded down size and all the ones I have seen so far are too big except for the obaby

I think they're quite flimsy and you can really feel the weight difference between sides of children so getting up curbs etc is annoying.

I really really loved the baby jogger city mini double - folds in a different way but still compact and easy to handle - lovely pushchair for an older and a younger one IMO
Also slimmer so will get through doors easier!

Jogger looks great, I wish that one would fit in my boot then I would save up for it.

I'm not keen on the sound of the flimsiness of the obaby . If I could find one as robust as the baby jogger but folding down smaller then that would be the one for me. I will keep looking.

Thanks for your reply Grin

You can take the baby joggers wheels off it that helps, it will fit in a Citroen c2 boot (which is teeny tiny)
Well worth looking at second hand ones.

I had a city mini double in a yaris boot with space, it really is one of the most likely ones to fit in a teeny boot.

Thank you for your replies, lots to think about there. We have found that the baby jogger will fit in the car and just protrudes a little above the parcel shelf. It's just the price constraint now. The prams at a good price get snapped up straight away

I have icandy peach2 which is a double but with one seat on top of the other, it folds down super small (half it's normal size) but you have to take both seats off to fold it. I have a Mini Cooper and it fits in when you take the wheels off, which is easy to do. I think you can get a good deal second hand as well!

Thanks for your help. We ended up getting a second hand city mini on ebay. Fits in car with parcel shelf off .. Used a couple of times and it seems good so far.
