I have the sliver cross 3D pram at the moment and my son has out grown the carry cot, he's only 2 months old. So I'm looking for a new stroller that will last. I like the oyster max and the mama's and papas sola city. They both say sutible to approx. 3 year old but sometimes the child looks to big for the pushchair. I just wondered if anyone had one of these and how good they are, thanks X

Watching with interest as those are the two we are currently choosing between! Sorry not to have more advice!

No question - if you like the Sola City - buy an Oyster Max or a Oyster 2. The harness / buckle on the Sola City (if you get an iffy one) is a PITA as it breaks easily into 5 pieces. The seat is bigger on the Oyster Max and the Oyster 2 - there is tons of room for an older child in the seat, whereas space is tighter on the Sola City. The Sola City has elements of several Babystyle Pushchairs put together in one but TBH Babystyle have a far better reputation than M&P, and I would head for one of their pushchairs than the Sola City.

We had a mamas and papas sola for ds - and have bought the oyster max for the next one. The oyster main seat is lovely and big and our 2.6yo loves his cosy pushchair ride :) the footmuff bit still even fits him! The extendng hood is great and overall it seems well built.

Is there a reason you're looking at a double? I think it's a good idea tbh as the oyster works well as a single but isn't too much more money for the double bits. For that reason I'd get the oyster over the sola IMO. It's good to push but heavy to lift up curbs etc so you do need to find dropped curbs.

Oyster 2 or the oyster gem. If you need a double oyster Max or depending on age oyster 2 and buggy board.
