Maclaren Volo mesh seat and rain...

I would like to buy a super light umbrella fold and have been thinking about the Volo. My issue is the mesh seat.

I walk EVERYWHERE with my DD and I'm worried that rain is going to enter the sides if we get caught in a downpour.

Does anyone have experience of this or can anyone recommend a super light umbrella fold that I could buy?

I currently have a Triumph but the brake has gone all flimsy and as I need to buy a new one anyway, I am thinking of getting the lightest possible replacement as I have a back problem too.

So far I have looked at the G-Luxe but it seems to have gotten heavier with design changes, and the Globetrotter which also has mesh sides.

I have it, and it's fine with the raincover on. The hood is massive too.

I love my Volo and abuse it horribly but it's not really a walking pushchair. It's great to put up and down when walking, but not for prolonged everyday use.

I love my volo (don't use it regularly anymore and still can't make myself get rid of it!

No problem with getting wet. The hood is massive and the rain cover is pretty effective. I stuffed a liner in the seat in the winter to stop drafts.
