Upright seat. BJCM? or ??

We have an Uppababy Vista which is fab but we want something smaller. We've just bought a Britax B Agile which seems great, except DD (11 months) seems to slump in the seat because its not upright enough. After only two days I think it's a dealbreaker :-(

I like the design and features of the b agile. I like a big hood, sturdy push, decent fabric, full recline and a decent basket.

The b agile seems to be a copy of the BJCM, does this sit upright?

If not, Can anyone think of any other similar buggies that would work? (We've already had and sold on a petite star zia and a maclaren, both far too flimsy and seat not upright enough :-/ )

When i had an agile i wrapped webbing around the frame to hold the seat more upright. Currently have a b motion, which is the same and i have unpicked the stitching on the recline strap that is there to stop it sitting fully upright.

I'm sure britax have a reason for doing this.. i don't know what it is and i hesitate to suggest that you do it but you could experiment with something around the frame to see if that fixes the problem for you.

The city mini does seem to go more upright (i had a cmgt before the b motion) but not mega upright.

Thanks I've looked and the webbing on the straps stops it from pushing all the way up to make the seat upright. But I could get / fashion a strap to go width ways and clip to each side of the frame to push the seat up to upright. But DP says its a fix and let's just sell it and keep the Vista which does everything and DD loves being in.

Bah. I can't deny the quality of the Vista. I just wish it was a bit smaller!

Would a Bugaboo Bee be a smaller replacement for the Vista?

No not since having a baby. What's it like? Should I just keep the Vista?

It's good, it just has a totally different feel. Everything has downsides I guess. You may find your personal perfection or you may join those of us on a perpetual search for it Grin…

The new Oyster Gem, does anyone know if it has an upright seat and a smallish fold?

Folds in 2 pieces with the reversible seat or at least my pre production one did. Tiggy may have persuaded hers to fold with the seat forward facing. The folded chassis is dinky but sturdy so easy to lift but not light. The seat nests well. I didn't have the hammock seat so not sure on that.

Really liked it.

I'm wondering if its the bucket seat on the Vista that works so well for DD and that we need to look at lighter pushchairs but with that sort of seat?
