It is their choice, i was just asking if it's a good choice.

TBH, i'm not really that bothered good at bay stuff, i'll get them what they choose within reason.

No million squid buggies, couple of hundred, maybe more if it comes to it.

Baby Jogger City Mini is excellent value for money. Easy to fold, compact and hard wearing.

Imho it kind of depends on your perspective and priorities of the user, with a hauck you will get more bits in a package, with something like a city mini it's basic but loads better quality and no extras. You/they need to weigh up what's more important to you.

For Dc2 I had a hauck malibu with carrycot £145 and dc3 had a britax b agile with carry cot £215. I got a b agile instead of a city mini so I could have a full size carrycot in the 200 ish budget. The b agile was miles better than the hauck, the hauck wheels were lumpy so it vibrated all the time. It was fine but the b agile was lots better.

Most recently I have a Joie Chrome which seems to be absolutely brilliant for the price. Without being able to say anything about longevity this does seem to be a great balance between price, features and quality.

You could also look at the graco evo and mutsy evo. With their strange identical names Hmm

The Joie Chrome looks nice, they have said they like the Hauck but i don't know if they've seen it in a shop or just seen it online.
It would drive me bonkers to push a pushchair with lumpy wheels, like shopping trolleys that don't push properly.

The joie one is in my local mothercare, which is normally fairly limited stock so probably could be physically viewed somewhere near you. They also have the graco evo. If you have a kiddicare they have a massive range of different things. It is worth seeing and feeling stuff imo, even if you don't enjoy it.

That's tons ! have a look on eBay for a baby jogger versa or even a bugaboo cameleon or an oyster maybe both high quality brands get something 2 way facing that can fit a car seat and with removable wheels so can fit easier in the car

For £300, get a baby jogger versa.

Have you looked at the review pages on Mumsnet? The actual site rather than the talk boards. There are loads of pushchair reviews there. Should help you at least a little.

Loads of people I know swear by the Maclaren.

Other option is to look into buggies that are easily converted to doubles, if they are thinking of having 2 close together. I knew I only wanted one baby, so was happy to go with something that would only work as a single.

Something like a Phil & Teds or an iCandy Peach Blossom easily goes from one baby to 2.

We got the Maclaren techno xlr in black and citrus, it has a carrycot with it.
