Universal footmuff for Oyster Max seats. Many good options?

I have the oyster max and I'd like to get some footmuffs/liners for both the seat units.

I'm just not sure which kind of universal footmuff will be suitable. Mainly because of how the seats are all zipped in at the top. So there's no way of securing a footmuff at the top - just using the harness it seems.

So I'm concerned I'll buy something and then spend the rest of eternity cursing it when it constantly slips down every time I try and put a child in. The material of the seats is quite slippy anyway so I don't want to make things worse.

Are there any good footmuffs out there that won't do the slipping down thing when just held in place by the harness straps? Or maybe they're all like that and so it won't matter which I get? I'd like one that the top part zips off completely leaving a liner. DS is a mucky pup already so adding in the newborn's excretions makes me need something detachable and washable! :o

you could always add elastic to the back of it like oyster does? I think the shape would be a problem with many however. why not an oyster one from eBay?

I'm trying to work out in my head how the elastic bit would work. On the main the seat the hood is pretty big so it would mean something round the back would be fairly low down. So wouldn't that mean the harness straps were still the main thing keeping it from sliding? Or have I got that all wrong?

And re not getting the oyster own footmuffs...I don't really like them that much. I'd love something bright and multicoloured (for some reason I have my heart set on stripes!). That sounds silly now I've written it down .

I'll check my hood when we have it out again but I thought you could fix it at the top. maybe not. and I think I saw some nice oyster footmuff designs on their website Inc a stripey. not positive though (and I totally get you about choosing one you like!)

I've looked at buggy snuggles and while they say on the website they fit oysters and oyster max it does say you have to unzip the hood and then just flip it back unzipped once the footmuff is on. So not ideal.

I shall keep on looking. Plenty of time until it gets cold (hopefully!) so blankets will keep doing for now when needed.

But if anyone has any other suggestions I'm all ears!

Have a look at these. I have a couple and they are very good. They have a foot pocket on the back, and I think you should be able to tie them onto the harness - and I am wondering if there's a slight gap near the zip on the hood - right in the corner...or would that be too high? The foot pouch can go under a footrest which is quite useful as well as literally putting the child's feet in if preferred.
My other suggestion would be a Quinny footmuff. They tend to stay fairly well in a seat unit once secured in by the harness.
Some expensive brands have non slip rubber dots on the back of the footmuffs. I think the TFK ones are like these.
I suspect if you have money to spend, that the 7AM enfant ones would fit as they have one elastic which is secured around the back of the seat.
I am wondering if the Baby Jogger Versa or City Select footmuffs may fit as well as they have a framed seat?

Bit at how much some of those footmuffs go for. Wow! Still, makes it easy to discount them on the price.

I suspect I'm not going to find one from the comfort of my own sofa. I'm going to have to actually leave the house and go to a shop aren't I? :o
