I want a new pram- help me!

So, my husband isn't too best pleased with me, but I would like a new pram and don't know where to start. Just a bit of background, I had my daughter young and decided I wanted a "proper pram". I did no research whatsoever, and my lovely mother kitted me out with the mamas and papas Ultima pram, the one with "bouncy" wheels.

Was lovely but too big. We still have it all, but it doesn't get used. I then got a brand new mclauren stroller, but chucked it as fabric got dirty from the car... (See why I drive my husband mad!?)

Stick with me. I then got a brand new Quinny Buzz. Liked it. Fell pregnant with my son and was told NO NEW PRAMS! So, I got a lovely new carrycot, basket etc. Then, before Elliott was born, the Quinny chassis decided it didn't want to fold anymore. My husband is very technical but we literally couldn't work out why. So, in a panic and being told I had no budget... We got the Graco Evo. It's fine, but I want something I LOVE. I'm currently trying (with no success) to sell the m&p and the Quinny carrycot, and then my plan would be to sell the Evo so I have no pram, so then I would HAVE to get a new one!!

Sorry this is long! Basically, I want a pram that's not too expensive, looks lovely, not too big, holds a lovely chunky 6 month old... And is worth all the hassle basically. I just don't want to get it wrong again, and really envy mums that love their prams.

Any advice and suggestions would be much appreciated x

What was it about the buzz that made you love it? What sort of budget are you working to?

I liked the buzz for the way it pushed, the way it looked and its size. Felt quite solid. I went to John Lewis today and I want a Cameleon! Somehow I think hubby will say no!

Hi Lily

Im in your position now, DD is now 8months and would love a cameleon!
Im sure Dp will say no as i cant justify the price £800 odd pounds.

Got a cameleon in excellent condition, less than 12 months old & with all the accessories including parasol & mosquito net (!) for £400 on eBay - you may be able to get a bargain if you're prepared to buy used

How Long ago was that? just looking on ebay i have no idea what to go for, is their major differences from 1st , 2nd or 3rd generation cameleons?

I only really want the puschair not the carry cot but i wouldnt mind a whole package for a bargain.

I get confused with them all too, plus I'm such a nervous 2nd hand buyer!

It was June 2011, DS was born in the September. Not sure about generation but has the gel-filled tyres so a later model. There were a few on there at the time but I put in a 50 mile radius for collection so this was my best option.
DS still very comfy in it, it's very cosy with the foot-muff on

The bugaboo cam is lovely but an absolute PITA to fold down and put in a car boot. U basically will struggle to put anything else in there. I have one and never folder down. Just walk with it which it is great for but I now have a baby jogger city mini. My 4th (!) buggy but I love, love love it!!

Oh I love my cam. I don't have any problems folding it down and fitting it in the car. I have just ordered a phil & teds as I am a childminder and just got my 1st mindee. It's going to be hard parting with the cam and I've loved all the accessories. Are you wanting a new one.

If you like the cam then you'll probably like the baby jogger city versa - they are similar but fold smaller. It's amazing :)

Hi lily

If you dont mind me asking how much you paid for it and How is it? Whats the fold like? Im a bit nervous as some people have said its really big and a hassle to fold

Well.. It's ok. I haven't folded it yet. Ok to push, I wouldn't say too big at all. Hood it nice and big but I'm not blown away :( paid 260 and got chassis, carrycot, seat, 3 hoods, 2 different coloured seat units and carrycot aprons, raincover, wheel pump, and basket bag thing. It is lovely but I'm not in love like I thought I would be!!!
