Pushchair for tall toddler and tall mum

DD (age 2.1) is rapidly outgrowing her maxi cosi pushchair. Does anyone have any suggestions for a pushchair that is suitable for a very tall toddler (not sure what her height is but she's not far off a typical 3 year old) and a very tall mum (5'11'')?

Although DD is quite a good walker, I expect we will need a pushchair for at least another year or so, as I don't drive and consequently walk quite long distances. I prefer 3-wheelers with big wheels as I find them easier to steer and get up and down pavements. DD likes to nap in the pushchair so if it could recline then that would be a bonus.

Would be grateful for any ideas!

Hello,

We've noticed this thread is quite old and some of the product recommendations are a little out of date. We've spent weeks speaking to parents and testing out pushchairs and buggies. Read our round up buggy reviews to see which stroller was crowned best buggy Spoiler alert is has a 25kg weight limit.

Hope that helps! Flowers

Am 6'1 and my 16 month old is very tall. We have the Maclaren XT, which has extending handles. It's great.

My 2.5 yr old is 98th percentile for height & she is in 3-4 yrs clothes! We're looking at selling our Bugaboo Bee & getting something more robust as I'm in the same position as you with no car & lots of walking to groups.

The tallest pushchairs I've found are by Mountain Buggy & Baby Jogger. Good height handlebars on those as well - I'm 5'10" & husband is 6'7" & they've been fine for us when we've tried them out.

We have the Maclaren XLR which, although not a three wheeler, lies totally flat and has extendable handles which suit my 6'2 DH. Also, the hood moves uo for taller dcs.

It is also compatable with a soft carry cot amd a Recaro.car seat meaning it would work from birth if you had any more

I have a phil and ted, DD1 is off the charts tall and still can climb in and sit comfortably, she is 3.5. I am 6'1 and DH is 6''5 and it is comfortable to push but heavy/bulky to fold, but it lies flat for good naps

I agree with p and t actually, the main seats are by and large very very tall.

The Baby Joggers are some of the best - bigger even than the Mountain Buggies. Also look at the Kiddy City 'n Move for a buggy, or a Bugaboo Bee Plus, or BOB are just arriving in the UK and their seats are huge. I think my prize for the biggest seat goes to the TFK Joggster Twist though. Its massive but yet the pushchair itself is quite neat!

I think the uppababy vista has a hood that extends up but please check if that's right!

I was thinking Uppababy G Luxe. Tall handles, good seat, super manoeuvrable with one hand and easy to put up/take down.
