Hi everyone, im a childminder and at the moment have 1 14mth old. In march I will be having a 6 month old too. Probably only be 2 or 3 days I will need a double so debating a Phil and teds that I can use as a single too. I have a single 3 wheeler at the mo.

I will be dog walking everyday so thinking a 3 wheeler but a little concerned how the children will fit in a phil and teds and if the baby falls asleep i cant lay it down.

I love the baby jogger select but cant afford it and also seen the out and about side by side. Any other suggestions would be great.

I think you do right to think through how the children will sleep etc in a P&T's. Other side by side options are the Baby Jogger City Mini GT, Elite and Classic (the latter two are discontinued but I dont know if you will be Ebay hunting), a TFK Twinner Twist Duo, a Bumbleride Indie and an Easywalker Duo.

I'm a CM aswell. When I just have 2 small mindees, I use a phil and teds. It's great to be able to use it as a single when you only have one and folds and fits in the car easily.

I also have an ABC single buggy and two extra seats so that I can also turn it into a double or triple when needed. I tend to use this if I am only travelling on foot as I find it harder to fit in the car.

There is a Britax b-dual + second seat on the boots website at the moment for £275 (half price) and also a Mountain Buggy Duo for £379 (also half price).

Re sleeping in the P&T. All my mindees sleep easily in either seat. The main seat is deep enough for them to rest their heads on the side of the frame and the rear seat reclines a bit. Also, if the child in the back seat is asleep and reclined then I can recline the main seat a bit aswell.
