Could i put GT wheels on a BJCM?

I have a BJCM GT which I bought for my 4th baby. I have had many pushchairs, prams and doubles over the years and thought this would tick all of my boxes. Sadly I'm just not loving it.

Its heavier than I thought it would be. I have owned an elite in the past and loved that. This seems to offer nothing extra and feels just as bulky to be honest.

Anyway I'm wondering whether to sell it and get a BJCM and put GT wheels on so I get the off road benefits for family walks. Is this possible?

Otherwise I'm considering buying an njoy bubble for the car and just using a backpack for walks. I already have an old freestyle XL which I use for walking to school. I thought the GT would be used for when I drive to school and go to the shops but really its just not light enough.

Thanks.

Hiya,
I so wish you could swap the wheels, but I don't think you can. Something to do with frame or the wheel sockets being slightly different. Interesting you find the bjcm gt heavy. I'm looking at the bj versa, wondering if it might be a bit heavy and it weighs 2.5kg more than the bjcm GT. Oops!

Thanks.

It's light to push but it's just heavy for getting in and out if boot for 5 mins on school run really.

You wont find a retailer who will sell you the wheels. They have been stopped from doing so. Its not been safety tested to have the wheels interchanged, and TBH I dont realistically see it will make any difference. When I pushed the BJCM, BJCMGT and Elite back to back, they progressively got lighter to push - so the BJCMGT was lighter to push than the BJCM and the Elite was lighter to push than them all. Not so much with a younger child, but quite noticably with an older child.

It's not the pushing that's the problem. It's the physical weight of getting it in and out if the car all if the time. With the older 3 we are doing this a lot. I also assumed maybe the gt took up more boot space.

Oh well maybe I need to sell gt and just rethink.
