Jane Twone Raincover

Hi All

a dad here just invading Mumsnet for a bit Smile

We are getting a Jane Twone for our little fella (11 months now) and our expected (Feb 21st).

I have heard a lot of people not liking the Twone raincover because it is rigid and when you are carrying 2 well, theres nowhere to stash it.

Question I have is has anyone found a decent cover to use instead of the 'official one' that keep both little uns dry?? Something a bit more cost effective would be nice too (£50 a go for the official Twone one).

Here's hoping someone can help

Thanks in advance Thanks

Paul.

I tried a b dual raincover, too big and baggy, a generic travel system one off ebay which isn't perfect either but mostly does the job. I had to extend the gap for the handle to feed thru slightly and it doesn't come down very low but does seem to keep the person in the lower seat dry enough. As you will be using the carrycot i don't really know what to suggest that might work, I think probably two separate ones. I recently used the proper twone one after six months of ignoring it and it's really really good, just as you say, impossible to carry on the pushchair with both seats on.

Silly raincovers. Why do manufacturers not twig that you need to store the raincover ON the pushchair when you are out and about. I have no advice though - I used to fling my B-Dual one over everything and anything but I wasn't fussy - just wanted to get from A-B without my children getting too wet.

Thanks for the advice Smile might just get the 'official' cover for it and invest in a net bag and hope for the best

We have a Norton Pure too, werent expecting baby 2 to nip along quite as quick as they have - hence the Twone now, wouldnt care but almost got a Jane Rider rather than the Norton - would have saved us the cost of a Matrix this time round but hindsight is a wonderful thing.

Have you bought the twone already? Mine came with one in the box, raincover that is. One of those rectangular net bags that hang off the handle might be about the right size.

Defo don't spend forty or fifty quid before you have looked in the box! I read somewhere someone complaining that they bought one then ended up with two because one came with the pushchair. No promises, they might have changed what you get in the 7 odd months since I got mine but Saturday isn't long to wait to find out Smile
