Icandy peach what do I need to convert it to a double (just car seat for baby and buggy for DD)

Hi there
I have an (original/"old") icandy peach. I am expecting DD2 in March. DD1 will be almost 3. I am looking into buggy options. Maybe a buggy board (I see Icandy say they don't support them but I've also seen other posts saying the boards fit no problem).

I would be interested in having the car seat (for new baby) and buggy (for dd) in use at the same time though. Not bothered about carry cot/buggy combo.

What do i need practically to enable me to do this?

Thanks in advance!

I think you just need the converter bars then, the full blossom kit as bought is the 2 bars and the lower seat, you only need the bars. Then you will need the lower seat car seat adaptors also. I have seen boards on peaches, it invalidates the warranty but if yours is out of warranty anyway? Hmm

Hi thanks for the reply I imagine it's probably out of warranty as I have had it since Jan 2010. Would I have to buy the bars on eBay or could I go to JLewis (eg) and get them there or do they only sell the full converter kits? Sorry if this is a dumb q! Thanks!

A retailer will only sell you the full Blossom convertor kits. You can pick just the bars up off Ebay but they go for silly money!!

I'm trying to figure this out as well. If I already have carry cot & buggy seat from I candy peach, do I just need the bars or do I need to buy special new carrycot/buggy seats? Hoping I can just get the bars as if I need to buy new seats that would make converting almost as expensive as buying new double buggy. DD is only 20 months so def need a double for a little while. Any tips?

Ok, you already have the chassis and main seat.
You will need the Blossom kit which consists of the convertor bars and lower seat unit. You use the main seat as the upper seat.
You will have to buy a new carrycot.
Plus, given your age gap, I strongly would advise you to get the Blossom 2 kit, which may also then warrant an upgrade to your current chassis basket (I assume you had it with DD1 from birth) which will cost you £50. The new Blossom 2 kit will last you at least 3 times longer than the earlier Blossom kit. The downside is that you will have a different colour Blossom kit - but you can buy Black Magic ie black and then buy a different coloured ie matching your main seat - liner for the lower seat (slightly different but near enough).

Its all a bit complicated though and I definitely suggest you discuss all your options with your iCandy retailer. There's loads and loads of information, photos etc here. I know it may seem a faff / a lot of money, but you will end up with a really fab double pushchair which will last you, and you will recoup a fair amount of money on resale.
If you are considering a swap, then look at the new Babystyle Oyster Max because that is a brilliant pushchair too. Its a lot less money but the quality is different too. I have had both and am hard pushed to decide between them.

Thank you! I've been finding it so hard to nail down from the icandy website what I actually definitely need. That's a huge help, thanks

If you need any more help then ask because its better if you ask something specific than me try to explain it all. It can be complicated.
