The giggle!

I just thought I would say...I went with the cosatto giggle. It arrived last night (from MILs).

Its soooo beautiful! (Saddo i know!) the fabrics are lovely it seems sturdy and well made, the bag is also lovely. I had a slight problem in that the apron that zips onto the pram was marked, as was one of the two hoods included, called cosatto first thing this morning and with no proof of purchase or anything, they have dispatched me a replacement for each!

Not used it outside yet as DS2 not here yet (ELCS 21st) but pushes nicely around my house, fab brake too! Not used seat unit yet either, will conceed and say it does look quite shallow and short but would definitely last until a year or so I think.

All in all for £304 RRP (£225 to me as i got a discount) its made a great impression!

I really like mine, DS1 is 7wks and I use the carrycot and carseat options (not the pushchair yet).

Best points:
Design (I have the Treet) - it's gorgeous and DS is fascinated by the pattern.
Super light
Easy to fit together
Easily adjustable push handle height (great for 6'2 DH and 5'3 me!)
Folds away well
Simple brake
Accessories included (lovely bag)
Affordable
British company
Excellent customer service (my baby was early & they rushed us a car seat)

Down sides:
Brake sometimes easy to hit by accident esp if longer strides.
Bumper bar across carrycot blocks view of baby - although it is easily removable.
Hoods of carrycot & car seat don't stay fully upright
There's a knack to lifting off the cot and seat attachments while pressing the right buttons!
Frame will only take matching car seat (which isn't isofix - doesn't matter to me as neither is my car but might be a dealbreaker for some)

That's all I can think of - but overall I really do love it and I'm glad we got it. It's certainly a breath of fresh air from all the boring designs or massive 4WD buggies. We've also bought the Cossatto changing table as we really like their stuff and the company ethos.

blonde congrats on your DS! Glad you are enjoying your giggle too, mine is treet also! If Id of been having a girl Id of gone for golightly.

Out of interest, have you used the raincover yet? How well does it fit if so? How are you finding keeping it clean? I am scared of the day I mark it in the car!

Agree with you about the company, I was expecting to at least have to give purchase details but they were great about replacing the marked parts. Just hope they arrive before I want to take buggy out

I didnt bother with the carseat as still have mine from DS1, and wanted to push myself to use the carry cot as much as possible.

Glad that 7 weeks in you still like it, I had 11 prams / pushchairs with DS hoping the giggle will mean just one for me!

Have you had many comments on the looks? They arent common round here so Im hoping for some Smile

I have had mine for 4 months now. The seat is perfect size for ds especially when they transition from the carrycot. The coseytoes is really warm and the hood covers enough to shield from a light drizzle. Really disappointed as I never got to use the carrycot but have it stashed away. Think this might have cured the pushchair addiction. Only wish it had different material for the straps they let it down a little. I have the golightly colourway for ds and love it and dh likes it. My kids aren't tall but I wonder if they were if it would be out grown early and I really wish the foot rest would move as ds arches his back and slips out of the seat( won't be able to do that when he gets older.) haven't seen any others near me yet.

Nanny great to hear another positive! DS reasonably tall (DP 6"3 im 5"9) so i imagine DS2 will be equally tall but I have a zia for any out growth! Glad the foot muff is lovely it looks it.

Are the straps just loose?

Yes used the raincover a couple of times (over carrycot) and it's been fine. However I must admit I've been a bit of a wuss and I haven't exactly braved any conditions beyond light rain! So no marks or mud splashes yet.

Wanted to share a tip when you want to get it out of the car release the clip first and then it won't scrape the ground. I have found there are no marks on the main chassis from folding its got a great cover over the front wheel unlike other pushchairs.
