Versa with GT tyres, do i need one? + Where did you order/ pre-order from?

Yes another Versa thread Grin

I'm wondering if its worth getting a Versa with the GT tyres if I don't live in a more rural area. The closest I get to off road is the local parks.

I'm also wondering where everyone has placed their orders or recommends to buy from?

Tricky one, I was leaning towards the gt one for urban use as it's very rough and cobbly, then tiggy discovered that the gt chassis has different, firmer suspension where the normal one is quite bouncy. Plus with the price difference and various bits of cashback and points etc. I ended up with a normal one. My ideal would be normal chassis and gt wheels but realistically the normal one will most likely be fine for most things. I think the price difference they have set is um... insane though.

Thanks parties! Where I live the pavements are surprisingly bumpy. There are lots of potholes and very uneven bits of paving so I often joke with DH that the local authority should pay for my next pushchair. Honestly the amount of times my pushchair has almost toppled over because of the front getting stuck in a pothole, or coming up against a corner bit of a slab of paving, makes me doubt there is that much difference between urban pavements and a forest walk Grin

Can I ask what the cashback and points are about? I haven't heard anything about it.

I dont know what you have had in the past, but the regular Versa may cope ok with bumpy pavements. I have had mine seriously off road in a farmers field (front wheels locked though), but the GT wheels should handle the pot holes etc more easily.
TBH...the best comparison would be to go and look at a BJCM and a BJCMGT side by side because the wheels of each are fairly similar to the wheels of the Versa & Versa GT.

Cashback can be obtained via buying through Quidco at Boots - there's a %age which varies on Boots products. Plus if you are a parenting club member you get a lot of Boots points on a pushchair. So between the two, they add up on a pushchair purchase. But I dont believe that Boots will be stocking the Versa GT.

Ah, thank you Tiggy.

I hadn't thought of comparing the different wheels on the BJCM's, that's a great idea.

I don't really want larger wheels because they are bulkier, but as everyone is raving about them I wondered whether they were a better option anyway.

I have a Bee+ right now and have been assuming that the Versa's standard wheels would be quite similar.

No, there's no comparison at all with the wheels of a Bee and a standard Versa. I can't even begin to compare the two TBH. The Versa is such a more susbstantial, solid pushchair.
