Phil & Ted Sport on an Airplane

Has anyone flown with a Phil & Ted Sport? How was it? I'm wondering whether it fits through the airport scanner?

I don't want to buy the travel bag as it's too expensive and I've read reviews which suggest it is hard work packing the buggy into it and I'm traveling alone next time I fly. I am not ready to buy a lightweight buggy yet as my baby is still too small to sit up so I need a fully reclining buggy and they tend not to be lightweight.

Thank you!

I brought mine on an international flight when my dc were little. We had the doubles kit and everything. We just walked to the gate with it. Then we folded it down and I tied the doubles seat to the main seat. They took it to some cargo hold.

As soon as we got off the plane they brought it back up to us. That way we had it with us to walk through immigration and to the luggage thing.

That was US airways. I think it depends on the airline. I don't remember having any problems getting through security with it.

That's helpful, thanks. Mine's just for one baby so should fold a bit smaller.
