Urban Detour Xtreme Parasol nightmare!!

Hi Mums!

Could really do with a bit of advice about pushchair parasols. We brought the Urban Detour Extreme travel system from Mothercare which comes with everything but a parasol. 6 months later and our baby is here, the sun is out and Mothercare advise they do not sell a compatible parasol (due to the chunky bars of the pushchair). I have tried googling to find a specific parasol but the only one that I can find is from Mothercare(!) but is not in stock. Has anyone had similar problems and can anyone recommend another parasol which will fit our pushchair?

Many thanks in advance!

Parasols are a pain in the neck, everytime you change direction you have to re-tilt the parasol to get the shadow over your baby. Use a shade-a-babe or similar.

I second the "shade a babe" advice - parasols look pretty but offer very little real sun protection.

The shade a babe is a fab item - worth every penny - and you can sell it for a good price when you're finished with it too.

parasols are crap! shade a babe all the way!

Oh, and you can buy shade a babes second hand on ebay - and when you're done with it - sell for a similar price to what you paid! - Which is a better return than you'd get on a mothercare parasol.
