Good posture pushchair (I have BJCM)

DS aged 16 months has weak abdo muscles and physio has stressed the importance of him being able to sit up and look around in his buggy.
I have the BJCM and he always seems to slump down in it.
Anyone have any ideas how to a) get him to sit up better (does the belly bar help? I suppose he will still be strapped in against the seat though), or b) suggest a cheap buggy that has a very upright seat?
Thanks

My dd has similar issues, I think the BJCM seat is just too wide for your DS. I switched to a Phil and Ted Sport. It has a long narrow seat with a bumper bar, helps them to sit much straighter

Maclaren Quests are a great pram for sitting up straight. it also has an adjustable leg rest if he needed to put his legs out straight.

I've got one, only 5 months old, and would swap you for your BJCM(and some cash) if you wanted?

Have not used Stokke but DD1 very slouchy in anything like baby jogger, maclaren, p&t etc. M&P Pliko very rigid, very upright, we had a Switch and she finally sat up in it. Not my favourite buggy but only one she ever looked comfortable in.

2nd hand Mutsy with deluxe seat unit would be good. You can also add the fun seat to give his muscles a bit more of a work out (encourages very upright posture and has handlebars to hold.) See ebay, you can often get for a good cheap price!
Seat of deluxe unit has depth adjustment and 2 bumper bar and calf support. Can also face you.

We came across the Wedge by Eyas London - ergonomic pram cushion that helps my baby girl who is now 13 months sit fully upright in the pram. Has also been proven to help with posture etc.
