Where to buy for £300k ish in London

There seems to be a billion threads about rent and housing costs at the mo, so apologies for starting another!

DP and I are thinking about buying. No DC at present but hopefully in the next few years.

We love where we live but can't afford to buy here so we're thinking with an open mind. Our friends are spread across London and our family is in west London, Canterbury and Southampton.

Ideally we'd like a three bed modernised but with original features Victorian house that goes for about £1m+ here Wink but we're realistic!

All we really need is: two bedrooms,Decent transport (DP works in the city, me am flexible), Parks (if we can't get a garden)

What we love about where we live is: lovely high street with coffee shops, nearby town centre, lots of parks with festivals and live music etc, easy tube ride to central London, it's quiet at home, easy access to country parks outside of London, culture on our doorstep, lots to do, places to see, very pretty area (I'm shallow)

Grateful for any ideas Smile

Just did a rightmove search. There are 898 2-3 bed properties £300-325,000 in London. Urm its a start.

Hopefully someone will have ideas to narrow them down!

Charlton might be the right fit for you. Blackheath with its vibrant high street is very accessible, good transport links, etc.

Forest Hill? Good if you're thinking about having kids and I reckon it ticks a lot of your boxes. Might struggle with the price tag now but worth a look.
