I know this may be an impossible question to answer, but DH and I are looking at buying a large, period house, which needs a bit of work doing. The main thing would be replacing the windows, and possibly doors, as they are all original and in a poor state of repair. We are keen to retain the character (Edwardian) and want period style windows, be they wooden or ‘imitation’. A quick Google tells me there are companies out there, but as part of deciding whether to go for the house, we need an idea of cost.
Does anyone have ANY idea how much it might cost to replace all windows in a 5 bedroom house? A ballpark would be great – I don’t know if it’s £10k, £20k, £30k, more?
Many thanks!
